Immersive training experts, Sentireal, recruit new Chief Executive Officer.

Belfast software company Sentireal, experts in the provision of immersive training using Extended Reality and Artificial Intelligence, have restructured their executive team in light of growing demand for their products and service.

Founder, Dr David Trainor, will assume the role of Chief Technology Officer and focus on the technical and product development aspects of the company, having recruited Tom Houston as Sentireal’s new CEO.

David said “We have grown substantially over the past 12 months, and we felt now was the time to bring in a CEO to steer the commercial aspects of the business and help us achieve further growth. Having worked with Tom for the past few months in a consultancy capacity we understand his strengths and are delighted he has agreed to join full time.”

Tom has been the IT industry for 30 years and brings a wealth of business growth experience in domestic and international markets. He has previously held senior management roles in EMC and Sun Microsystems and has spent the last year working with smaller organisations, developing sales and marketing, and business growth strategies. Tom is an MBA graduate from the University of Ulster.

Tom said “I have really enjoyed working with the Sentireal team over the past few months, and jumped at the chance to join full time. We have an exciting 12 months ahead, our existing business is thriving and David can now focus on bringing our new Extended Reality authoring platform “immersonal” to the market in 2021.”

Sentireal are based in the Catalyst FinTech hub in Belfast, with the team working remotely due to current Covid restrictions.
